Sorry I missed your birthday

This week's Dutch Dare challenge 39 is 'sorry I forgot ...'

For this I used Tamara's card sketch 86: Papers are all K & Co Hannah (button sare die cut):

Another one for Ooh-la-la's 30: buttons and brads.

Tracy's Turquoise Recipe Competition

This card is for Tracy's recipe competition on CBC:

'I want you to make something using the recipe below, it can be a card or scrapbook page or something altered anything you wish Flowers Ribbons Buttons The colour Turquoise You can have any other colours but we must be able to see turquoise.'

Tracy is one of CBC's sponsors - her online shop is Creative Treasures.

I don't know what the background paper is. The blooms are various and the ribbon was, I think, obtained in a swap on Bubbly Funk.

The sentiment stamp is by Debbi Moore and it was inked with chalk blue iris and embossed with clear detail.

The buttons are brads.

As this card uses brads that are buttons (or buttons that are brads) it's just right for Ooh-la-la's 30 buttons and brads.

Cute Card Thursday 51: Celebration

It's Cute Card Thursday's Birthday this week and so challenge 51 is 'celebration', with this lovely sketch:
I thought this card would be good for an engagement or anniversary. The patterned square is DCWV Pocket full of posies (using up another bit from the offcuts box) and the image on the tag is another glittered rub on. The lilac circle has been debossed using a cuttlebug folder.

Spring green

Still in a spring mood, this card is for the Cuttlebug Be Inspired 22 challenge 'Your Challenge this week is to use Glitter with a stamping image and off course Cuttlebug :)'

I used the double embossing technique that you can find on the Cuttlebug blog -Joy suggested running the embossing folder through to emboss and deboss the same piece of card - I did this and then swiped ink pads gently over the area. The Happy Birthday is inked and the Whispers ivy stamped with Brilliance pearlescent ivy (couldn't be better) and softly coloured with a water brush with the ink pad and then topped the veins with stickles, mounted on to an small HOTP offcut (still trying to use up offcuts rather than cut into fresh papers).

This is also good for a couple of stamping challenges this week that call for something green: Wednesday Stamper and Stamp Something.

Easter daises, buttons and bows

Today's 365 challenge is 'buttons and bows'

I've incorporated this into a few other challenges:

Crafty Muse 'change of season' - I hope the card is 'springlike' enough!

My Time to Craft challenge 53: 'nature' - not just the daisies, but the butterflies.

Ooh-la-la 30: 'buttons and brads' - well, there's the buttons (perhaps another card later with the brads!).

And last, but not least, Mixed Media Monday 'spring colours'.

There are many 'springlike' challenges around atm - and even the weather is coming out to play!

The background paper is K & Co (the last of that sheet now, except for a small scrap which will be used somewhere, I'm sure). The butterflies are Sizzix die cuts and the bows are raffia.
